Cheng is a licensed acupuncturist and practitioner of oriental medicine in the state of Pennsylvania with professional Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine, biomedical science educational background. He is also an ajunct clinical faculty in Won Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. He works as a clinical supervisor for graduate students of Oriental Medicine program.

From 1994 to 1999, he spent 5 years studying in Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine on Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine. Then he finished one year of resident training in Department of Acupuncture and Tuina in the 1st hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In June 1999, he received his Medical Doctoral degree. After that, he finished his PhD program in Xiangya Medical School. In Jan 2006, he moved to the United States and finished postdoctoral training in the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia,University of Pennsyvalnia. He published several top peer-reviewed papers on Blood, Journal of Clinical Investigation, etc. Due to more than 10 years of experience on Traditional Chinese Medicine and biomedicine research, he has his own concept about life and life sciences.

Cheng is good at treatment of different kind of pain,seasonal allegies,infertility, emotions diseases, chronic cancer, sleepless,sports injury, stroke rehabilitation,anti-aging,weight control etc (please see the list of conditions commonly treated by our services). He also has more than ten years of experience in Chinese Tuina and Taichi. Tuina (a kind of therapeutic acupressure) is a very important part of Traditional Chinese Medicine including plenty of hand skills with Qigong and Daoyin skills. It is very useful on treatment of many chronic pain and physical diseases. He is also the 14th generation of Chen style Taichi. Taichi can improve patient’s balance, inner organs function and spirit balance. He is also good at teaching patients to recover with some simple and useful self-excises skills which can reduce the patients healthcare cost a lot. Cheng is very interested in nature therapy and eastern culture. He has strong passion to broadcasting Eastern culture to Western.
